I completely adore Jenna in this scene. She really made me cry. Clara is literally broken at this moment, she doesn’t know what to do, she doesn’t know where she is or even who she is. She’s done what she was born to do - she saved the Doctor. She did it without any question or hesitation, although she didn’t have any idea what she would have to face, and of course, she was scared. But she did it, for the Doctor, she sacrificed her life for him, and that was worth dying for. She did it for the greater good and that’s what makes her such a wonderful companion.
But in this scene, when everything is over for her, we can see all the pain, troubles and suffering she had to go through. She’s broken, she’s scared, she can’t remember what she was doing. She cannot even remember who she is. And after the whole 7b season, this girl, Clara Oswald, needs someone to save her.
And Jenna is just so great in portraying all these feelings. I was crying watching this scene, I just wanted to hug her, calm her down and say that everything’s gonna be alright. So thank you so much, Ms Coleman, for such an amazing companion. I hope you’ll enjoy all your future adventures with this show!
